The continuing professional development program (CPD) provides educational activities to general practitioners, nurses, pharmacists, allied health workers and practice staff to improve their knowledge, skills, attitudes and judgement leading to opportunity for improved patient care. In addition to educational benefits, CPD participants also benefit from peer interaction and increased contact with and knowledge of other local service providers. Activities of the CPD program include:-

Annual and continual needs assessment

Provision of broad-based CPD activity and, if appropriate, in rural cell localities

Specific training in various program areas
-
Category 1 and Category 2 accreditation points with the RACGP and ACCRM, including systems for internal reporting and documentation to meet the required standards.
Services to Members

Opportunity to attend quality professional development

Opportunity to network and discuss cases with colleagues and peers

Opportunity for timely and appropriate documentation for CPD activity
