A new Integrated Care Centre is being constructed on the Launceston General Hospital site and is scheduled to open in 2011. The new facility will be an Integrated Care Centre which offers a range of health services including coordVinated services for people with complex health care needs, effective management of chronic health conditions such as diabetes, heart disease and asthma and a range of health care services. The project is being jointly funded by the Australian and Tasmanian Governments. The budget for this development is $18million.
